We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The accountant's responsibilities include preparing (weekly /monthly/ yearly) AP/AR report, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, supporting tax returns, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

To be successful as an Accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding Accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Check figures and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy

  • Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using google spreadsheet

  • Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information

  • Ensure that all necessary documents are requested, collected, and compiled

  • Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures

  • Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail

  • Collaborate with the accounting team and businesses to meet department and company objectives

  • Coordinating accounting functions and programs

  • Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures

  • Assistant Head of the Account department by providing documentation, solving errors, and answering questions as needed

  • Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required

  • 3+ years of accounting experience

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel

  • Ability to train and manage staff

  • Ability to work with little to no supervision

  • English written and verbal communication skill is a bonus
